ACUVUE® Contact Lenses for Dry or Sensitive Eyes

Do you work in dry or windy outdoor conditions or in front of a computer screen all day? Regular contact lenses in these types of situations can leave your eyes feeling tired, dry and irritated.
If this sounds familiar, then you should consider the newest wave of ultra-comfortable moist contact lenses from ACUVUE®.
Most of these lenses can be worn two ways: 1) during the day only for about two weeks before being discarded or 2) both during the day AND while you sleep for up to six consecutive nights. The exception is 1 Day ACUVUE® Moist™, which is a daily disposable lens.
The advantage of ACUVUE® contact lenses for dry eyes is that the lens material contains moisture retaining properties and also extra flexible and soft for comfort. These lenses are rated as the most comfortable to wear day in and day out which is essential if you have sensitive, tired, or dry eyes.
On the other side, they do cost more. About $20 to $30 per box versus about $16 per box. You will pay slightly more for these lenses but to avoid dry or sensitive eyes, most people say it's worth it.
ACUVUE® Advance™
ACUVUE® Advance™ is the newest generation of 2-week lenses that give you all day comfort. The lenses are made with HYDRACLEAR, a fancy marketing term for a proprietary material that keeps lenses wet, soft and ultra comfortable to wear.
ACUVUE® Advance™ is also available if you have astigmatism.

1 DAY ACUVUE® Moist™
Unlike the other lenses on this page, 1•DAY ACUVUE® Moist™ is a daily disposable lens that is worn for one day only and then thrown away. 1•DAY ACUVUE® Moist™ contains a moisture retaining ingredient that keeps the lens comfortable all day long. They are also convenient and healthy alternative for contact lens wearers because you don't have to worry about cleaning and storing them properly. Just wear them once, and throw them away.
